The Health Sciences Core Research Facilities provides support to core laboratories and investigators while fulfilling an oversight role defined through the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences.
The several facets of the HSCRF assist research faculty in investigator-initiated research through consultation and referral to core laboratories and resource information. We manage and support cores directly through consultations, management, and advocacy for operational needs. In this oversight role, we work with faculty partners to assess the scientific impact and work with the core to assess their needs and fiscal health for new and existing facilities. We then make recommendations to the OSVC and work with cores to implement changes as indicated by the results of these interactions.
